About Hilda

Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Hilda, a lovely 3-year-old Lab-Pyrenees mix weighing around 75 lbs. Hilda’s journey began with hardship—she was found abandoned on a southern farm, giving birth under a chicken coop and struggling with poor nutrition that led to the deformity of her front legs. Despite these challenges, Hilda gets around beautifully, even leaping onto the couch for a cuddle when the mood strikes. With unfamiliar people, Hilda is initially cautious and needs some time to feel comfortable, which is completely understandable given her past. Once she trusts you, her affectionate side shines, complete with kisses and snuggles. She cherishes her safe space under her foster mom’s desk during the day, and would thrive with a securely fenced yard so she has a safe haven to enjoy the outdoors without worry. Hilda is looking for a loving family who understands her need for patience and security and is prepared to give her the home she deserves—including lots of love and gentle reassurance. Fun fact: Hilda was born on September 15, making her a Virgo—thought to be loyal, gentle, and hard working, just like her! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
