Gaining his trust took time, patience, and a lot of treats -- and even then, getting him to safety meant gentle coaxing because he would run whenever he got scared. Slow but sure, Lanny decided that maybe not all humans are bad... and that's when everything changed. Today, he's opened up into a playful, energetic, sweet pup who LOVES to run and has done well playing with other dogs. His goofy side comes out more every day. Loud noises still worry him, and sudden movements can make him cower -- he's still learning that the world is safe. He'll need someone who can give him stability, structure, and continued training. The rescue has already helped him learn to trust, and he's ready for someone patient and loving to keep building on that progress. Because of his past, Lanny should be fed separately from other dogs -- but once mealtime is over, he's all wiggles again.
