Poppy is a six-year-old female terrier mix, originally estimated to be born on December 17, 2019—a true Sagittarius at heart, often adventurous but also cautious in her way. She is house trained, crate trained, and fully vaccinated. Poppy is playful and loving but generally calm, making her easy to have around the house. She rarely barks, only letting you know if someone comes to the door or if there’s activity outside the fence. Poppy isn’t one to curl up in a lap, but she’s happy relaxing nearby, giving you space while still keeping company. She has had mixed experiences with other dogs: she felt nervous around a tiny neighbor’s dog but did well with a mellow lab in another foster home. She gets along with cats and currently shares her space with four feline roommates. One important note—Poppy is very fearful of men and will do her best to avoid them, typically retreating to her crate, which she views as her safe zone. She isn’t aggressive—just anxious.
