Riot
AvailableRiot is a young, neutered male Pit Bull Terrier mix in Pierre, SD. At just over 2 years old, he’s up to date on vaccinations and considered medium-sized. Riot is known for his calm and affectionate nature, and he’s looking for a home where he can be someone's constant companion.
About Riot
Riot recently started the PAWS to Freedom training program at the Pierre Minimum Center, working side-by-side with inmates to learn new manners and skills over the next 6 to 8 weeks. This extra structure is setting him up for a smooth transition into a new home, and he’s sure to pick up some impressive tricks along the way. Riot is a 1-year-old, neutered male Pitbull mix who came in as an owner surrender with his brother. Despite the lively name, Riot turns out to be a gentle, devoted soul who takes a little time to open up. Once he trusts you, he's always by your side—much more interested in following you around than playing with toys or causing trouble. This boy doesn’t crave constant excitement; he just wants to be close, quietly soaking up your company. Recently, he’s discovered couch cuddles and decided they’re his happy place. If you’re in the market for an affectionate, calm companion who thrives on connection, Riot is more than ready to settle in as your loyal sidekick. He gets along well with other dogs, but does not get along with cats. Click apply to start the adoption process.
