Olaf is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix who came from a backyard breeder situation along with his sister, Elsa. Like her, Olaf is very shy and shut down, but he has a gentle, thoughtful nature. Olaf takes comfort in staying close to Elsa and quietly looks out for her, offering calm reassurance in unfamiliar situations. He is not aggressive, just fearful, and tends to observe before engaging. New environments and people can be overwhelming, and he will need a patient, understanding home willing to let him progress at his own pace. A calm household with minimal chaos would be ideal for Olaf. He would do well with another gentle dog and especially thrives when he feels safe and secure. With time, consistency, and kindness, Olaf has the potential to build confidence and form a deep bond with his person. Olaf is searching for a compassionate adopter who understands that trust takes time — but is always worth the wait.
