Her gentle temperament and affectionate nature make her a wonderful companion for families experienced with huskies.

About Tatum

Tatum’s story began with hardship, arriving at the rescue after suffering extreme neglect and a dangerous heat stroke. Her background makes her need for a patient, experienced husky home non-negotiable—she’ll need someone who understands her breed’s quirks and has the time to help her fully recover into the dog she deserves to be. After several weeks of professional training from Jeff Coltenback, she now has a strong obedience foundation. Tatum is crate trained, house trained, and impressively calm for a husky, though she still has her chatty moments. Her trainer says she greets each day with a joyful energy and true sweetness. She loves hikes, walks, and chewing on toys, plus she’s cooperative for grooming and ear cleaning. Tatum gets along well with most male dogs and is affectionate with people, thriving with gentle encouragement. She hasn’t been tested with cats and is not suggested for homes with them, but she does get along with children and enjoys playtime. Tatum is a quiet, affectionate presence who’s ready for a second chance—and someone to help her feel truly safe. Click apply to start the adoption process.
