About Sugar
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Sugar's journey has seen her through difficult times, having come from a breeding background where she was used and then discarded. She was once adopted but returned simply because she was frightened by men and new faces—none of which is her fault. Now, it's time for her story to change for the better! Sugar is searching for a loving home where she can be the only dog and live with adults or families with children over 15 years old. She is especially wary of men and new people, but with patience, treats, and gentle encouragement, she warms up and builds trust. Once comfortable, Sugar is a bundle of energy, exceptionally smart, and quick to learn. She loves to please her person and thrives when given the opportunity to show her affectionate, loyal side. While she can become protective of those she bonds with, she responds well to kind and clear guidance, making her a wonderful companion for someone willing to invest the time. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
