About Chuckles
Chuckles is currently in the PAWS to Freedom training program, working with inmates at the Pierre Minimum Center for 6-8 weeks to learn manners and build crucial skills that will help him settle into a new home smoothly. Although his name suggests laughter, Chuckles is actually a quiet, shy dog who’s still learning to trust his surroundings. He arrived at the shelter with his brother Riot after their previous family surrendered them. This one-year-old mixed breed is gentle and cautious. He takes time to warm up, but once comfortable, his sweet and sensitive nature shines through. Chuckles is soft-hearted and appreciates a calm household with patient people who can help him build up his confidence. He might be reserved, but he has a lot of love to give, and with consistent care and encouragement, he’ll make a devoted companion. If you’re someone who feels drawn to shy, soulful dogs and wants to help a young pup come out of his shell, Chuckles could be the match you’ve been looking for. Start your journey together!
