About Chuck
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Chuck – a PAW favorite who radiates love and personality! Chuck is a striking brindle, playful boy around two years old, and he absolutely lights up around other dogs. Patient and gentle even with smaller pups, Chuck is a 60-pound bundle of affection ready to play and make friends. Though he developed cataracts as a young dog and lost his sight for a while, thanks to dedicated care, he's had eye surgery and is now rediscovering the world with new wonder and curiosity. His early vision challenges have left him a bit tentative when first meeting people, but with a little encouragement, Chuck’s goofy, sweet, and fun-loving spirit shines right through. He loves daily walks, yard explorations, and joyous zoomies—you’ll want to catch a glimpse of his happy moments! Chuck is already housebroken, crate trained, and smart, knowing commands like "sit" and working on "down." He enjoys being around other dogs, but would also embrace life as your one-and-only canine companion. Chuck is sociable and adores people and dogs alike. Among his favorite things are peanut butter, music, ear scratches, and nose rubs. This big cuddlebug thrives on love and would bring joy to just about any family, especially one with another canine buddy, given how much he enjoys canine company. He’s been flourishing in a foster home surrounded by dog friends, and support is available for his continued adjustment now that he can see. PAW will provide training to help ensure his transition is a success—are you the one to show him how wonderful life can be now? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
