About Sis
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Sis has been on quite the journey since arriving at Our Farm Sanctuary in March 2021. Initially testing positive for feline leukemia (FELV) and having a noted bite history at her previous rescue, Sis was handled with care and given her own space. Over the years, her health defied expectations—remaining vibrant, playful, and free from illness despite her diagnosis. After years of closely monitored health, a series of recent tests surprisingly showed Sis now tests negative for FELV, though her veterinarians recommend retesting annually and caution housing her with other cats, as the virus can be complex and unpredictable. Currently, Sis lives in a cage at the sanctuary with little opportunity to free-roam. She cannot be housed with other cats, but she’s fine with dogs and other animals. While her early history included some biting, she has made tremendous progress and now loves cuddles, purrs gently in your arms, makes biscuits, and delights in wet food. Sis is a friendly, happy, and playful companion who deserves a loving home where she can thrive as the only kitty. Annual veterinary care and FELV testing are advised, and an understanding veterinarian will be necessary for her continued care. Fun fact: Sis is a Virgo, which means she’s likely as loyal and loving as can be! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
