Jessie arrived at the sanctuary with her brother, Woody, when they were just seven weeks old. Both were critically ill with pneumonia, and Jessie weighed a mere 10 ounces, just half the size of Woody. Their eyes were glued shut and every breath was a struggle. Thanks to round-the-clock care, medication, and a lot of love, both kittens gradually recovered. Jessie now has a small scar on her left eye from an old ulcer, a reminder of their struggle, but she's a fighter. Jessie loves being held and petted, especially when it comes to belly rubs. While she might take a little time to adjust to new environments, her affectionate nature shines through once she feels comfortable. She adores dogs, greeting her foster dog buddy with sweet nose rubs. She thrives on cuddles and has proven to be quite resilient despite her past.
