About Bokuto

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Bokuto is a sweet tabby and white boy who has faced some tough times. Previously owned by a college student, Bokuto was left behind when his person moved out, hoping to be reunited after a few weeks. Unfortunately, nearly a year passed without a reunion, and Bokuto’s caregiver was left to care for him alone, ultimately choosing to bring him to the Sanctuary for a fresh start. At around 3.5 years old, Bokuto arrived and was quickly noticed for his persistent squinting. A vet consultation revealed a rare congenital eye condition—thankfully, corrective surgery at the Animal Eye Institute was a total success. Now Bokuto can see and enjoy life to the fullest, pain free. This affectionate cat is thriving in his busy foster home, where he lives alongside other cats and children and is absolutely adored by everyone he meets. Bokuto, also known as "Opie" to his foster family, is hoping for a loving forever home where he can settle in and share his cuddles for years to come. As a fun fact, Bokuto was born on October 8, making him a Libra—so expect a social companion who loves harmony in the home! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
