About Happy Hades

Click apply to start the adoption process. Happy Hades thought he’d found his forever home, but after some difficult challenges that his adopters couldn’t manage, he was returned to the shelter. While with his caring team, an eye specialist discovered that Happy has congenital ocular abnormalities, and his vision has since faded to complete blindness in one eye. We believe this vision loss may have contributed to why things didn’t work out for him before, but Happy’s delightful spirit remains unbroken. He still enthusiastically wags his tail, nestles in for loving cuddles, and brings the same gentle sweetness to everyone he meets—just as he always has. Weighing in at under 40 lbs, Happy is cherished by everyone at Northshore Humane Society, both staff and volunteers alike. All he needs now is a patient, kind person who will embrace him just as he is: a loving dog who might not see with both eyes, but who will give you his whole heart. What are you waiting for?
