About Caesar
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Caesar, the underdog ready to shine. Caesar is a charming black and white pit mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever home since December 17, 2020, following a transfer from another shelter. His path hasn’t been easy—after being adopted and later returned, Caesar has remained in the shelter, where he has faced some challenges and picked up behaviors that have held him back. Yet through it all, Caesar’s vivacious and loving personality continues to shine. Caesar delights in yard time, where he especially loves splashing around in a kiddie pool or chasing streams from a hose. Simply watching him enjoy water play is heartwarming, and it reveals just how playful and joyful he can be. Any water-loving family would quickly fall for his lively spirit and affection for fun. As a participant in the Underdog Under Construction Program, Caesar is using his time to build confidence and relearn trust, especially since he tends to become overprotective of his chosen person. With gentle guidance and training, he’s making great progress in managing these behaviors and is eager to embrace the love and routine that come with a permanent home. Caesar thrives where trust can develop gradually. He is comfortable around cats and prefers a home with minimal interactions with other dogs, as well as one where introductions to new people can be done slowly to give him time to feel safe. A relaxed home that doesn’t have a lot of visitors would help him settle and flourish. If you are searching for a loyal companion who will love you deeply and brighten your days with playful antics, Caesar could be your perfect match. Give him a chance, and you might find a devoted friend for life. Visit Caesar and discover whether your home is the right place for him—together, you can start a new chapter filled with trust and fun. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
