About Keno
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Keno, a sweet senior boy with a big, loving personality! Keno adores cuddling on the couch or in bed—he absolutely believes he's a lap dog. He's potty trained, understands how to use a doggy door, and knows commands like sit and stay, making him a polite companion. While he may have a playful, puppy-like streak and loves to chew on rope toys, he's generally not interested in other dog toys. If you have space for lounging, he'll happily relax with other dogs and enjoys a good car ride. Keno may have some separation anxiety that will benefit from patient, consistent support. He needs a fenced yard so he can safely explore and play at his own pace. In warm weather, he's in his element, but chilly temperatures can slow him down due to arthritis. He's calm and generally quiet, only barking if scared or if another dog sets him off. Keno tends to be a bit nervous during thunderstorms, heavy rain, or fireworks, but indoors, he settles just fine. He does best without livestock or small animals around, as he's very interested in them. Keno is devoted to his humans, faithfully following them everywhere. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
