About Tad

Tad is a sturdy, 4-year-old pit bull mix with a short, rusty red and fawn coat. After surviving parvo and ringworm, and undergoing knee surgeries, he’s settled into rescue life with surprising resilience. Tad’s had his share of health hurdles—some allergies and seasonal flank alopecia—but neither needs prescription meds right now. Despite the rough start, he’s friendship in canine form: outgoing with visitors, and quick to offer a warm welcome. Tad does well with other dogs after a proper introduction, but truly thrives as the only pet—he’s a loyal type who prefers not to share his people, food, or toys. He isn’t vocal unless someone’s at the door, and he’s perfectly house and kennel trained. Tad loves to play, especially with toys (be ready for shredded fluff), and never passes up a car ride—he lives for a new adventure. Because quarantine shaped much of his puppyhood, he missed some basic training, but he’s eager to learn if you have the patience. Tad is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s best suited to families open to ongoing training and looking for a single-pet home without cats. A Virgo by birth, he has the practical, persistent spirit to prove it. What are you waiting for?
