About Layla
Layla is a large, short-haired shepherd and rottweiler mix who came to the rescue after being found alone on the streets. At first, she was completely overwhelmed and would freeze and shake in the corner, but since moving to her foster home, she's started to open up. Layla gets along with all the dogs in her foster house, preferring a mellow routine over rowdy play. She's content to quietly observe, rarely getting caught up in the chaos. Her foster family is working on her housetraining—she’s making good progress, especially with help from warm weather and routine. If things get a little wild or noisy, Layla still sometimes drops to the ground in fear, but she’s learning, slowly but surely, that she’s safe now. All she needs is a patient home to call her own. Layla is spayed, microchipped, and her vaccinations are current. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Layla
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Layla's shepherd and rottweiler mix background means she’d do well in a home that offers plenty of space, ideally with a yard or room for her to stretch her legs. She adapts best in environments that are calm and consistent.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large shepherd/rottweiler mix like Layla benefits from access to a yard or regular walks in open areas. While she’s not overly energetic, having space helps her relax and feel secure.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shepherd and rottweiler mixes can thrive with children, especially if the children are respectful and calm. Layla herself is gentle and laid back, so she may do best in a home with older or quieter kids.
