About Zoe

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Meet Zoe, a delightful Chihuahua born around March 7, 2020, who is ready to find her forever family. Zoe is a sweet soul who has gone through a lot of changes, which means she may be a bit reserved at first, but once she trusts you, she blossoms into a loving cuddler. She tends to bond closely with her main caregiver and may get anxious when that person leaves; however, she does settle down and can be left alone for up to six hours without incidents or destruction. Zoe is fully house-trained and will gently scratch at the door when it's time to go out. While she's not kennel trained at the moment, she has managed just fine roaming freely indoors. Zoe has shown a gentle side around children, especially with a 3.5-year-old, making her a lovely companion for a family. She has had mixed experiences with cats—sometimes respectful, but she has also lashed out—so a home without cats may be best. Zoe gets along very well with other dogs, both small companions and larger friends she meets on walks. She adores her walks and, while she occasionally pulls, she's easy to redirect, and she absolutely loves running off-leash when given the space. This charming pup has a playful, treat-motivated personality and enjoys car rides, preferring a lap but doing well in a kennel when needed. If you're looking for a sweet, adaptable dog who craves companionship and adventure in equal measure, Zoe could be just what your family is missing. Start your journey together! Apply now.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Chihuahuas do not require a large yard but do benefit from daily walks and opportunities to explore outside. Short play sessions in a secure area or patio are also appreciated by this small breed.

Chihuahuas can be good with respectful children, especially if socialized early. Due to their small size, supervision is recommended with younger children to prevent accidental injury.
