About Sadie
Sadie is a sweet-natured Boxer with an adventurous streak. At 8 years old and around 50 pounds, she’s settled indoors and springs to life when it’s time for backyard play, porch naps, or neighborhood walks—just ask, and she’ll spin in happy circles with excitement. Sadie does best as the only pet and will thrive in a moderately active home, whether it’s with an individual, couple, or family. She’s done well with children, especially when introductions are calm and unhurried, and builds trust quickly once she feels safe. House trained, leash trained, and crate trained (though she gets anxious in a crate), Sadie can free-roam for hours with no trouble. Her foster works from home, so she’s used to frequent outdoor breaks. On walks, she sometimes acts protective, barking at people passing by, but she’s working on being calmer. Due to missing teeth, she eats softened kibble in small, frequent meals, which has helped maintain her weight. Squirrels, cats, and some dogs can set her off, so a secure, high privacy fence is ideal. If you like the sound of a loyal, playful companion who prefers to be the star of the show, Sadie could be a great match. Start your journey together! Apply now.
