I was rescued from an animal control in Southern Illinois by NAWS - I was on an euthanasia list and not feeling well, and thankfully I was saved just in the nick of time! After traveling to NAWS, the kind volunteers made me feel comfortable after my long trip and got me the care I needed. It turned out I had a blockage and needed a surgery called perineal urethrostomy a/k/a PU surgery. This was amazing, and exactly what I needed - I felt like my old self again as spry as kitten! To recover, I was placed in a loving foster home - I am healthy now and the only special need I have is that I need a prescription diet of urinary food - it is really no big deal since a kitty has to eat either way! I am a big teddy bear of a guy. I love to explore my surroundings and see what’s around every corner. I will hang out and chit chat with you while you are cooking, yum! When the energy bug hits me I absolutely love catnip! Sprinkle some on a toy and I will roll all around and become the goofiest boy. At nighttime I really love to curl up by your side for pets and snuggles. I love to hold hands too and will put my paw on your hand! I am a very people-oriented kitty. I am FIV positive and would need to be the only cat in a home, live with other FIV positive cats, or possibly live with other non-aggressive kitties. In my foster home, I do get along with other kitties after a proper introduction. I would be totally fine as your one and only as well. I would be fine with kids but have technically not met a dog. When I was at NAWS, they walked a dog by my kitty tower to see how I would react. I looked at it and then went back to sleep - my naps are more important!
