About Leah
Leah has the quiet confidence of a survivor. After raising her kittens in tough circumstances, she finally landed somewhere safe and warm, and she's been coming out of her shell ever since. Leah’s past left her with one ear a bit mangled and some dental challenges ahead. Most of her teeth are already gone, and more will need to come out, but she’s handled it like a champ and is finally feeling real comfort for the first time in her life. Leah is FIV positive, so she’ll need to live as a single cat or with other FIV+ cats, or very mellow non-aggressive companions—she’s independent and prefers it that way. She gets along with her kittens and cares deeply for them, but she’s happiest when she can decide when and how she wants attention. Once she trusts you, she’ll seek out head scratches, rub against your legs, and insist on more pets, but don’t expect her to want to be scooped up or carried around—Leah knows her own mind. Favorite things? Laser toys, cozy blankets, catnip, mealtimes, and curling up in the softest bed she can find. Her demeanor is gentle but a little sassy, and she’s made progress every week in foster care. Leah needs someone patient, familiar with cats, and ready to let her settle at her own pace. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and house trained. Leah is ready for a peaceful forever spot and a person who lets her be herself. Give this resilient girl the home she’s always deserved. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
