About Leah
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Leah, a resilient and beautiful gray cat who is ready for her happily-ever-after. Leah came to NAWS Humane Society with her two kittens, rescued from a tough beginning. Though life had challenges, Leah was an incredible and nurturing mother, always looking out for her little ones. Despite her own hardships, including an ear infection that left one ear with a unique appearance, Leah has truly blossomed in her foster home. Now that she’s safe and cared for, Leah has shown just how loving she can be. She adores head pets and nose scratches, sometimes even guiding your hand to give her extra attention, though she prefers affection on her own terms. Her foster describes her as independent with a delightful dash of sass! She enjoys laser pointers, fuzzy toys, catnip, and snuggling under blankets. Mealtimes and napping in soft beds are favorites. While not a typical lap cat, Leah is incredibly loyal and likes to be near her favorite humans. She thrives in quiet homes with cat-savvy adopters who will respect her wishes and provide a calm environment. Leah does have some special needs: she’s FIV positive and will need to be the only cat in a home, live with another FIV positive cat, or possibly join other laid-back, independent cats. She’ll also require dental care, as most of her teeth are missing or may need to be removed. Leah’s perfect adopter will be someone compassionate and devoted, willing to ensure she feels safe, healthy, and cherished. If you’re seeking a companion with personality, gratitude, and a story of courage, Leah is ready to give you her trust and affection. She is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Leah would love to find her hero—maybe that’s you! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
