About Sheldon

Sheldon came to the shelter after his owner passed away, leaving his life uprooted and uncertain. He's a large, mixed-breed Heeler who is having a tough time adjusting to shelter life and misses the comforts of home. Despite all of this, Sheldon remains gentle and sweet, showing no aggression toward other dogs during group events and passing his initial cat test with flying colors. He's done well with dog-savvy children, too—calm, patient, and tolerant with kids who know how to treat animals. Sheldon is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He’s been kept on heartworm prevention throughout his stay. While he hasn’t had much one-on-one dog testing, he’s shown no reason for concern at public outings. Adopters can expect a dog ready to find stability and affection in a quiet home where he can get back to the couch and companionship he longs for. Give him the safe place he needs to thrive again. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
