About Bones

Meet Bones! Some dogs just need someone willing to see the world a little differently, and Bones is one of those dogs. At just over a year old and around 80 pounds, Bones is a stunning Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix with a big heart and a joyful spirit. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention, eagerly waiting to find his forever family. Although Bones is deaf, he's incredibly smart and highly trainable. He already understands hand signals for 'come' and 'sit' and is keen to learn more. Bones thrives on interaction and loves being around people. Raised by an experienced rescuer, he's comfortable with other dogs and has no history of aggression. However, because of his large size and exuberant play style, smaller or more fragile dogs may not be the best match for him. While Bones has spent much of his life outdoors, he enjoys the indoors too, especially when supervised with his family. Due to his deafness, he should not be placed in a home with cats or small animals, as he cannot hear warning signals from them. This decision to rehome Bones comes from a place of love, recognizing that he needs a family that understands his special needs. If you have a soft spot for unique dogs looking for their chance, Bones might just be the companion for you. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
