Papi is a tricolor (brown, black, and white) adult male Staffordshire Bull Terrier living in Council Bluffs, IA. He is neutered, house trained, and up to date on all his vaccinations. At 8 years and 5 months old, he’s looking for a comfortable spot to spend his well-earned retirement after many years without a real home.

About Papi

Papi is looking for a foster or adopter who can give him the loving home he's never had. He spent five of his six years in boarding, so he's missed many experiences other dogs take for granted. Recently, Papi’s been in dedicated behavioral training and is impressing everyone with how quickly he’s learning. He’s doing great on leash work, showing real enthusiasm for structure, and is being muzzle-conditioned for safe, gradual socialization with other dogs. Papi needs someone willing to continue this training and foster his confidence. It’s important that there are no cats in the house, as he does not get along with them. While he is learning to be around other dogs, he isn’t ready to fully integrate yet, though with the right situation and a strong, experienced leader, it may be possible in time. He is house trained, loyal, and enjoys affection—sessions on the couch and long walks are two of his favorite things. Papi is ready to dedicate his full heart to a person who wants to change his life for good. If you're looking for a devoted companion and are prepared to help him finish his journey, Papi could be the one for you. Born December 12, he’s a Sagittarius—always up for an adventure, with resilience to match. Your new best friend is just one click away.
