About Camelia

Camelia is a young cat, about 1-2 years old as of May 2024. She came into foster care with her four kittens after being rescued from a garage just before it was demolished. Her foster family calls her Cammy or Mama, and she has a mostly white coat with ginger spots, including a distinctive ginger heart on her left hip. Her pale yellow eyes are especially striking in person. Camelia thrives on affection—she enjoys being held, brushed, and spending time on laps when she's in the mood. Red laser toys, green feather wands, toy mice, and a sturdy cat tree keep her both entertained and active, though she spends most of her downtime relaxing. She does have occasional energetic streaks, darting around in bursts of play. Currently, Camelia is still attentive and protective when it comes to her kittens, especially around other cats viewed through a baby gate. With patient introductions and space away from her kittens, she is expected to warm up to other friendly cats. She’s shown she can handle adults and pet sitters with ease but hasn’t met dogs or children yet. Camelia is spayed and fully vaccinated, and she has tested negative for FIV/FELV.
