About Sloane
Sloane is a striking brown tabby and white Domestic Short Hair, born May 1, 2018—a true Taurus, so anyone familiar with the sign will see that grounded, devoted personality play out with her. Sloane is perceptive and tuned into daily life, happy to be near people and household rhythms, but rarely demands to be at the center. She enjoys gentle encouragement and soft, hands-on affection from those she trusts, though you’ll find her happiest when left the freedom to come and go. She prefers all four paws on the ground, but does tolerate being picked up occasionally if the moment feels right for her. She’s highly social (in her own way), expressive, and truly animated—still very much in touch with her inner kitten, always looking for adventure or a new toy to chase. When she gets comfortable, she’ll talk right back, sometimes to the point of being a real chatterbox. That said, she’s sensitive and can be overwhelmed if pushed, so a calm approach works best, especially during play or when she gets a bit overstimulated. Sloane flourishes in a home that values her independence but offers gentle, patient guidance. She isn’t a fit for homes with young children or overly energetic animals, but could do well with calm, cat-savvy dogs and other mellow cats after a careful introduction. She has previous experience in a house with many other cats, and just needs time to build trust. Sloane came from a difficult background but has grown into a healthy, mostly confident cat. She’s ready for a new start and a family that respects her boundaries as much as her affectionate, loyal side. Click apply to start the adoption process.
