Head scratches and the right treats go far with him, and he won’t hesitate to let you know when he needs your attention. He prefers a slow, steady routine, settling in after a bit of time to get a sense of his new surroundings. Cody moves with the confidence of a cat who’s seen it all, and settles comfortably in a calm home with no young children. While he enjoys peace and quiet, he is still curious, exploring now and then or batting a stray toy if the mood strikes. Cody’s history gives him a bit of resilience. After his owner’s health declined, Cody spent months alone, only receiving occasional care. He arrived at the rescue in rough shape—matting on his back and brittle fur—but with time, better nutrition, and treatment for several health issues, his coat and spirit came back strong.
