This cat is an FIP Survivor. They were diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and received 84 days of antiviral injections and passed an additional 84 day observation period. FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to felines coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation.
