About Stuart
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Stuart—also known as Stootypants, Stewie, and a host of other endearing names—who is truly the man of a thousand names. Stuart has Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), a non-contagious and pain-free condition that will eventually lead to complete blindness, but this absolutely does not slow him down. Despite the challenges, he gleans tremendous joy in navigating his world, following voices or floor taps, making out shapes, and climbing chairs to be close to his people. Stuart’s remarkable intelligence and slightly cautious approach to new places are perfectly balanced by his lively curiosity and charm. While it’s uncommon to recommend pairing a senior cat with a kitten, Stuart and his young companion Mercury share a wonderfully special bond that demonstrates the magic of true companionship. If you’re considering welcoming both a kitten and a senior into your home, this dynamic duo promises double the love and heartwarming moments. Stuart is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FeLV negative, and FIV positive—meaning his immune system needs a little extra monitoring, but FIV+ cats can safely live with FIV-negative felines as long as there’s no fighting. As a bonus, adopters receive a starter package of goodies valued at $100 with a visit to select pet store partners. Misfit Felines Inc is a foster-based rescue, and all cats are cared for in home environments. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
