AvailableThis handsome Shar Pei mix is an adult male with a large build and a beautiful apricot/beige coat. He is currently in the care of the MCSO MASH Unit. Flaco is neutered and has up-to-date vaccinations. He does require ongoing medication for a heart murmur, making him a special-needs dog. He gets along well with dogs, but is not suitable for homes with cats.

He’s in the process of adjusting to his new world and, while he can be apprehensive about meeting new people, he quickly reveals his affectionate side once he feels safe. Flaco is diligently working on overcoming his kennel anxiety; he’s already come out of his shell with his familiar caretakers. This special boy will thrive with a patient family that can offer him the consistency and support he needs to build confidence. He’s enthusiastic about meeting any new canine siblings and all family members to make sure everyone’s comfortable and ready to be his forever pack. Flaco does have a heart murmur and takes Pimobendan 5mg to help manage his condition. He’ll benefit from adopters who are understanding of his needs and able to continue his medical care. With love and patience, Flaco will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
