About Rocky

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Rocky was discovered on a rural highway at a home where he mingled well with children and other dogs, but it wasn’t the right place for him to stay permanently. He’s a Retriever who shows affection and sociability, though he may get a little grouchy when it’s time to be picked up for a car ride—once in the car, however, he’s an easy travel companion. Rocky has been successfully treated for heartworm and will need lifelong heartworm preventative, a small step toward keeping your loyal friend healthy and happy. He recently participated in an adoption event at Petco, where he did great with kids, adults, and other dogs. Rocky isn’t fond of moving cars passing by and may bark at them, but otherwise, he’s a calm presence eager to find a loving family. Rocky is fully vetted and ready to become a devoted companion. If you are hoping to share your life with a gentle giant who has lots of love to give, Rocky could be your perfect match. Transport is available for approved adopters, and your kindness could give Rocky the forever home he deserves. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
