10/30 Update 🐾 Meet Dottie! 🐾 This little speckled firecracker is 21 weeks old and full of life! At under 20 pounds, Dottie might be small, but she's got enough personality to fill a whole yard. Dottie is a heeler mix who's been at MOAS for 5 of her short weeks, and she's so ready for a life that's bigger than a kennel. She's still learning not to get too jumpy when she's excited (can you blame her?), but she's smart and easy to guide. Mostly, she's just starved for love and playtime--the kind of freedom every puppy deserves. Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees: Dogs over 6 months old: $100 Puppies under 6 months: $200.
