About Charlie
Charlie has come a long way since he first arrived. He shows a quirky, independent streak—sometimes he’s happy to play with your fingers, but when he feels overstimulated, he'd rather keep his distance. Charlie thrives in a calm, quiet home where people respect his space and understand that he needs time to settle in. If you’re patient with him, you’ll get to see his silly and unique side come out. Charlie was dealing with a persistent health issue when he arrived, specifically an inflamed anus that has required surgery and ongoing steroids to keep it in check. He's responded well to his medication, and while this condition will need to be monitored for life, it’s managed now. Expect occasional flare-ups that will need a vet’s attention, but he’s much more comfortable these days and handles his care like a pro. Charlie isn’t currently house trained, so an adopter ready to work with his needs will be important. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
