About Maci
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Maci! She is a sweet small brown poodle/mixed breed who has endured a difficult beginning and is still learning about the joys of life. Previously used for breeding, Maci spent much of her young life in a crate and is just starting to learn to trust people. She sometimes shows her teeth when she is frightened, which is her way of keeping scary things away, but she also shows a desire for gentle attention. Maci has done well in her foster home with both dogs and cats, and she has not had any accidents indoors. Maci absolutely cannot go to a home with children under 16, as loud noises and sudden movements frighten her deeply. The calm, patient household she needs should have another confident dog to help mentor her as she adjusts to family living, and a fully secured, fenced-in yard is a must to help her feel safe and protected. While she may not be ready for cuddles right away, with lots of patience and understanding, she does have the potential to blossom in the right home with the right support. Fun fact: Maci is a Gemini, a sign known for curiosity and adaptability—traits that will shine as she learns to trust and explore her world! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
