About Kandy
Kandy is a true cat’s cat. This brown tabby girl has always gravitated to the company of other felines, even during her rough start wandering Harrisburg. Rescued as a young adult, she came in with a surprise—pregnant and ready to start her own family. Kandy proved to be an incredibly attentive mom, raising her kittens until they were safely adopted. When her turn came, adjusting to humans wasn’t quick. She spent nearly a year building trust with her foster parents, gradually moving from hiding to enjoying being held (in short bursts, granted). Given time and patience, Kandy does warm up and enjoys gentle affection, but her deepest bonds are with other cats. She thrives with cat companions—mutual grooming, cuddling, the whole deal. Even in a multi-cat household, Kandy is submissive and prefers a passive role. Socializing will blossom further with a gentle, patient adopter, ideally one who has another resident cat to keep her company. Kandy is fully spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and negative for Felv/FIV. She must remain indoors and cannot be declawed. She comes with a custom watercolor portrait for her adopter.
