About Whisper
Meet Whisper! Whisper is a whip-smart, agile, and loving 1-year-old shepherd/lab mix weighing in at around 38 pounds. He spent some time in foster care before coming to the rescue, so the team already knows quite a bit about his personality and strengths. Crate-trained and quickly mastering house training, Whisper catches on fast and is eager to learn new tricks. Toys are his happy place—he’s especially obsessed with squeakers—and he’ll sit quietly to take treats gently. Whisper is already working on several commands and impresses everyone who interacts with him. After a good play session, he’s always ready to cozy up with volunteers for some petting and affection. For Whisper, daily exercise isn’t just a suggestion—it’s a necessity. He needs a home with an active routine, ideally with a big yard where he can explore, run, and keep working on his impressive fetch skills. He thrives on agility challenges and benefits from regular, ongoing training to keep his mind engaged. The rescue feels Whisper will fit best in an active household, either adults or families with children eight and up. He may be able to join a home with other pets, and a proper introduction can be arranged. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
