Dirk just flew up from North Carolina thanks to a volunteer pilot and is settling into life in Silver Spring, MD. He’s a one-year-old Lab mix with a short black coat who’s still figuring out the world. Chew toys are his favorite, but people, other dogs, and snuggles are close seconds. Dirk is expected to reach about 50 pounds when fully grown. He’s picking up basic commands, working on leash walking, and is still learning the ropes when it comes to house training.
