About Shelly

Shelly is a massive, golden orange American Shorthair who spent over two years surviving the wilds of a Van Nuys parking lot. Now, at about seven years old, he is adjusting to the comforts of indoor life and seems plenty grateful for small luxuries, like a soft bed and regular meals. Shelly is smart, chattier than most, and happiest when humans give him attention — but only when he decides it’s time for interaction. He thrives on being fawned over, yet keeps things on his terms. He’s affectionate, content, and has a knack for hiding when the mood strikes. Shelly’s not a lap cat. Instead, he’s the type who enjoys company, conversation, and a gentle touch from time to time, rarely seeking out close cuddles. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, FELV negative and FIV positive, and has handled vet visits, including a recent dental, like a champ. He’s good with gentle children and adults, but really has no interest in sharing his domain with other cats. A home with humans willing to respect his boundaries and shower him with attention is what Shelly needs most. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
