About Saber
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Saber, a sweet and sensitive 3.5-year-old Husky/Rough Collie mix looking for a special family to call his own. At about 55 pounds, Saber is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He’s well-mannered on leash, knows his basic commands like sit, down, shake, come, and enjoys spending time outside on his lead. Saber is also crate trained and housebroken, although you’ll want to pay attention to his pacing when it’s time for a bathroom break, as he doesn’t always give a clear signal. While he’s very affectionate, Saber is quite timid at first—he’s especially cautious around men, particularly those with beards or glasses, and tends to be more at ease with women. He has some anxiety issues, including getting carsick, so a quieter and patient home would suit him best. Saber would thrive with a retired couple or a family who works from home, where someone can give him the understanding he needs to blossom. Saber is not dog-friendly and needs to be your only canine companion. He does well with cats, but would be best with cats confident around dogs and not likely to run, as his playful chasing might startle them. Saber should also not be placed in a home with any poultry due to his past experiences. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a gentle soul who needs a bit of time and patience, Saber can’t wait to meet you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Saber
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Rough Collie/Husky mixes thrive in homes where they have space to move, preferably with a yard, and benefit from a calm, stable environment. They do well with families or individuals willing to offer consistent routines and regular companionship.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix benefits from regular outdoor exercise, ideally with access to a securely fenced yard. They enjoy walks, play, and mental stimulation, but can adapt to active households with less outdoor space if exercised daily.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Rough Collie/Husky mixes can be good with children when socialized from an early age, as they tend to be gentle and playful. Supervision is always recommended, especially with younger kids, to ensure positive interactions.
