About Blackie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Blackie, a sweet male lab/pit mix who is searching for a devoted forever family. This gentle giant is the perfect family dog and truly shines in the company of both kids and other dogs. After being surrendered when his previous family moved, Blackie endured time alone in an outdoor kennel, but he's ready for a happier chapter filled with indoor affection and plenty of playtime. Blackie is loving, attentive, and housebroken. He responds well to commands and is eager to please. Currently, he is about 10 lbs overweight, but regular play will help him get back to a healthy size. He has been neutered, microchipped, wormed, and is up to date on his vaccinations, including a one-year heartworm prevention shot. Heartworm negative and on flea and tick prevention, Blackie also had a thorough dental checkup. He just needs a caring home that will keep him as an indoor companion and never leave him isolated outdoors again. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
