He is a neutered male about 1 year and 11 months old and will be medium-sized when fully grown. Copper is not yet house trained, but his vaccinations are current. About Copper
Copper’s name fits him perfectly, thanks to his warm golden coat. Adopted at three months with his brother, Copper quickly outpaced expectations for activity and size—he and his sibling turned out to be more energetic than their adopter, a 70-year-old woman, bargained for. This medium-sized Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador mix is now around 40 pounds, and at roughly nine months old as of March, he’s still growing into his energy. Copper came to rescue after being dumped in Macon County, Tennessee, alongside his siblings. His foster notes he’s particularly shy and more reserved than his littermates, but he’s learning to trust and thrive while socializing with other dogs his size and age. Under all that timidity is a dedicated family companion in the making, especially for active homes or families with kids and other dogs. Copper’s birthday is June 8, 2024, making him a curious and adaptable Gemini pup. He isn’t yet house trained, but he’s had a healthy start: neutered, up to date on shots, and he’ll have ongoing vet care covered through his adoption fee. Start your journey together! Apply now.
