Meet Gwenie. She came into rescue from a high-intake shelter in Jackson, TN last spring. Gwenie arrived pregnant and favoring a leg or possibly her hip—likely an old injury that will soon be properly examined. She gave birth to pups on May 1st, and now that they're weaned, she's settled in a foster home, finally able to rest and decompress. Gwenie is scheduled to be spayed soon, and her adoption includes updated vetting: spay, microchip, core vaccines, and preventatives. She's had multiple rounds of dewormer and is started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Her demeanor is gentle and affectionate, and she gets along with both other dogs and children.
