Willow, a female adult Labrador Retriever, is currently in San Diego, CA. She’s medium-sized and has been spayed. Willow is house trained and known for her loving nature, especially with dogs and children. Her resilience shines through after being rescued and fostering her puppies. She’s looking for a patient adopter who can help her continue building trust.

About Willow

Willow was rescued after being found abandoned in a Bakersfield field in late 2024, where she had bravely dug herself a shelter and given birth to 13 puppies under wood pallets. All of her puppies have found homes, and now it's Willow's turn for a fresh start. Willow is a super loving and playful Labrador Retriever; she's currently fostered with three large dogs and gets along well with her canine companions. While she can be a bit skittish when meeting new people, Willow warms up once she feels safe, especially if given the time and patience she needs to build trust. She's making great progress as her confidence grows and enjoys her daily walks—she perks up when she sees the leash. Given her journey, Willow will thrive in a home where her adopters understand her need for reassurance and are willing to give her time. She gets along with dogs and children, making her a good fit for a variety of families. If Willow sounds like the companion you've been searching for, she's waiting in San Diego, CA. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
