Ruby
AvailableRuby is a senior female Chocolate Labrador Retriever currently being cared for in Killingworth, CT. She is not yet house trained, but she is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Ruby is searching for a loving, patient adopter to help her adjust to a new life where she can finally find safety and respite.
About Ruby
Ruby and her companion, Little G, spent their lives at a breeder's home, often overlooked except for the money they made. After the breeder released all the dogs due to neglect charges, these two landed in rescue and have been together ever since. They’re shy from their past, but you can see sparks of curiosity—occasionally coming over for pets, though quick to dart away. Clearly bonded, Ruby and Little G rely on each other for comfort; when separated, neither eats until the other returns. They still have a gentle, sweet side and seem to long for attention, despite nerves. A patient adopter with a quiet home is a must, and keeping the pair together is non-negotiable. They need calm, steady people who can let them open up at their own pace. Every day they relax a little more, showing the type of devotion you only get from dogs who’ve never had a chance before. Give them a home where they can finally breathe easy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
