About Max
Max is that rare dog with main character energy in a small package. At 14, this Chihuahua mix isn’t shy about letting you know what he wants—his signature scream can catch the attention of everyone around, especially if bacon is involved. The drive-thru staff at Bojangles quickly learned he’s not above demanding snacks on his terms. Underneath his dramatic voice, Max is just as expressive with his affections and will always make his presence known. He comes with a few age-won badges: he’s got some improving skin issues (helped along with medicated baths and a good diet), a quirky hip that does nothing to slow him down, and likely needs a dental before long. Max wears tiny mittens to help with hot spots—he pulls the look off better than you’d think. Max is deaf, but nothing escapes his notice when it comes to food or his people. He’s easygoing about his care, loves to hang out near his person, and manages to pack attitude, love, and bacon energy into every single day. Max is currently fostered in Knoxville, TN.
