Pickle
AvailablePickle is a large, tricolor (brown, black, & white) neutered male with a heart as big as his paws. At 2 years and 4 months old, he's an adult dog who's both house trained and vaccinated. Pickle has some special neurological needs from an early injury—he can’t handle stairs and may be prone to arthritis, so he needs a comfortable, stair-free home. Pickle is currently in Colorado Springs, CO, looking for a family prepared to support his unique journey.
About Pickle
Meet Pickle—a gentle, goofy soul with a 'swagger' all his own. He lives with a neurological condition that gives him a unique walk and makes stairs a no-go, but this never slows him down or dampens his sweet nature. Pickle absolutely adores people, lights up around other dogs, and has a tail that wags as enthusiastically as he plays. He's house and crate trained, rocks the doggy door, and knows his basic commands. Most days, you'll find him lounging on the couch, but he'll happily leap (in spirit!) into a pool party or play session. Pickle thrives with a dog buddy and older kids who understand his gentle quirks, making him a fantastic fit for homes without stairs. While cats aren't his thing, his warmth and eagerness to please more than make up for it. He's especially well-suited to someone seeking a loyal, low-key companion with a knack for joy. His medical needs mean he'll need an adopter ready to provide comfort as he ages, especially since arthritis is a possibility down the line. Pisces pups like Pickle are famously affectionate and endearing. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Pickle
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pickle is a Pit Bull Terrier/Great Dane mix, both breeds known for adapting well to homes where they have space to move and a comfortable place to rest. Because of Pickle's neurological gait, he's best suited for a home without stairs and with soft places to lounge.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
With his Pit Bull Terrier and Great Dane heritage, Pickle benefits from a yard to explore, but his gait limits the need for intense exercise. A safely fenced yard where he can safely play and enjoy some water time suits him just right.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pickle gets along with children and would thrive with older, respectful kids who understand his needs. Pit Bull Terriers and Great Danes are generally friendly and gentle with kids, but supervision is key with any large breed.
