Ember is a special little kitty who needs a special loving home. She was adopted by a lovely adopter in 2022 and unfortunately her adopter passed away in 2024. Ember was alone in her house for a couple of months until a foster home could be found. Perhaps because of the stress of losing her human mama and the loneliness she felt when she remained in her adoptive house by herself, she became very defensive. HOWEVER, after time and patience in her foster home, Ember has again become affectionate, loving, and devoted. She absolutely loves to be near her foster mom and follows her everywhere in the house, never further away than one step. She loves to be held while sitting to watch television and will curl up on your chest with her head near your shoulder. Ember was definitely loved by her first adoptive mama and will thrive with a new forever mama once she can resettle. It is very likely that she will revert back to the defensive behavior when first moved, but with time, patience and love, she will be the happy, totally devoted kitty that we see now. She needs to be the only cat in the house, as Ember does not like to share the attention with other cats. Ember is approximately 2 years old and is healthy, vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.
