String, rescued from an overstretched outdoor colony, is one of the six "Potato Kittens" who came in together to escape the risks of life outside. These kittens were timid at first, but regular playtime and attention from volunteers have helped them open up. Toys and tube treats quickly win their trust, and each week they’re more social and curious. String is especially memorable for his striking face markings and those big, observant eyes that follow every move. He’s still building his confidence, and he needs an adopter who’s patient and enjoys slow, gentle bonding. Once he recognizes you as a safe presence, String will show his playful side and start to engage. String tested FIV+, as did his brothers, though that status may change as he grows older. Even if it doesn't, FIV+ cats like String can thrive indoors for many years.
