About Stewart
Meet Stewart, a golden-coated 11-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who landed in rescue with his companion, Gretchen, after a tough life with an unkind former owner. Stewart is easygoing and mellow—happy to hang out anywhere—while Gretchen prefers to stick close to home. Their foster describes them as 'the sweetest pair.' Stewart is minimally active, enjoys the simple things, and gets along well with other dogs and even cats, which is rare in a dog his age. Gretchen tends to only prefer Stewart for company, so ideally these two would spend their retirement years together in a peaceful home. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving senior who is social, house trained, and content with a laid-back lifestyle, Stewart just might be your perfect match. Both dogs are currently in a foster home in Pleasanton, CA, and are available through Howard's Hound Haven. Opening your heart to Stewart (and maybe Gretchen too) could be the best decision you make. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
