We recently received an emergency plea about two starving boys found at Remmel Dam. Remmel is about 3 years old and we think he is the father of Rusty. Remmel and Rusty are HOUSE TRAINED!!!!! Remmel currently weighs about 45 pounds. He is great with other dogs. As of 05/01/2025, Remmel has been at the rescue for 9 months. Miraculously, these sweet souls still managed to muster the strength to approach kind strangers for help. Though we have no available space, we can not turn our backs on them. A temporary foster has stepped in, but we urgently need resources to care for these deserving dogs. We gave them flea pills and food. We hope soon to be able to intake in the shelter. We are extremely thankful for the family that took them in but they need to find their furever home! Loves tug-of-war! Cuddles, other dogs, our cats and children! Big teddy bear. Not an ounce of aggression out of either of these sweet boys. Worked on not jumping, potty training, and sitting. Slow on sitting but something tells me he already knows how to sit, he was hit by a car and I didn’t push sitting on him because of his leg trauma. He sat when treats were involved though .
